Has anyone bought one of those mail order tunes or know of anyone that has? I was just wondering if it is worth $125 or do i just need to get a dyno tune?

I've never had a mail-order tune or otherwise but I would say if you car is not very modified a good tuner that is familiar with lt1 4th gens could prob get it pretty close.  The only way I would ever do a mail-order is if there wasn't a shop within a reasonable driving distance that could do a good dyno tune.  While the car is on the dyno the guy can make sure that he's getting the air fuel ratio perfect and maxing out your setup without going overboard, with a mail order he just has to go by what he has seen from other setups similar to yours and hope yours performs about the same, there will be some "error" in the tune as no two cars are going to be exactly the same.  Just my $.02
